In 1989, Quinault tribal elder Emmit Oliver organized the first ever “Paddle to Seattle” as a part of the Washington State Centennial Ceremony. Now known as the Canoe Journey, the event has become symbol of cultural revitalization on a national level.
In 2013, the Quinault Indian Nation hosted one of the largest Canoe Journey in native american history. This film follows their journey in the days leading up to The Paddle to Quinault.
